New Love City’s Fall 2025 - 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

Join Conor Yates, Be Leigh, Keela Williams, Edie Shipler, Manzell Glover and Lulu Soni in a teacher training program that fosters connection to a vibrant and joyful community in the heart of Greenpoint. In addition to learning how to teach asana, meditation, and pranayama, students will be encouraged to pursue their curiosity as they discover who they are as a teacher. We will co-create a nurturing and supportive container to support each other’s growth as yogis.

Our instructors have over 4,400 hours of combined formal training and have led over 31 trainings collectively. This is our 11th Teacher Training at New Love City and we hope you will join us.

Overview

Training will take place over 12 weeks starting in the beginning of September and will cover the following topics:

Anatomy, assists, sequencing, practice teaching, use of props, history of Yoga—cultural/theoretical, philosophy, meditation, pranayama, creating the container of a class, injuries/compensations, pre/post natal, trauma-informed yoga, how to teach a workshop, establishing a voice, the business and etiquette of teaching and studio ownership, awareness of appropriation, ethics and more.

Trainees should have at least one year of regular practice and complete our questionnaire.

  • Timing

    The training will take place virtually during the week and in-person on the weekends. Sessions will be held during the following times:

    Tuesday & Thursday 6-8:30pm (via Zoom)
    Saturday-Sunday 1-5pm (in studio)
    Friday 7-9pm (in studio) Weeks 6, 10-12 only

    10 Hour Yin Immersion
    Friday, October 10-Sunday, October 12 (open to the public)

    Week 7: Tuesday, October 14-Sunday, October 19

    Week 8: Tuesday, October 21-Sunday, October 26

    Week 9: Tuesday, October 28-Sunday, November 2

    Week 10: Tuesday, November 4-Sunday, November 9

    Sunday is Graduation Day!

    • Tuition is $3,200. Early bird $300 off if you put your deposit down before May 1st.

    • Tuition includes unlimited membership to New Love City for the duration of training.

    • Payment plans available, please inquire.
